I never did. 9.My credit card was billed $606.08 vs Kayak reservation price of $110.08. 10.I am currently working with my credit card, Discover, who are doing an awesome job disputing this fraudulent bill. I also called National US customer service and was able to determine the extra charge was from a $300 (5000 Pesos) charge due to "damage". Remember I was told everything was good, no damage. Right dishonest staff. My advice is to search online to read the reviews prior to renting in Cancun. National is one of the worst. Taxis and Uber appear to be the way to go to avoid the bait and switch.
Desventajas: I was very upset that Kayak advertised the rental Figura being $8. We reserved the car at this price, and arrived in Cancun to be surprised with a whopping amount of insurance fees which amounted to over $400. If we refused the insurance and used our credit card's insurance for the car, then we had to read more pay $1300.
Ventajas: That it took an hour to find someone that had a list with our name on it for our reservation just to hear he did not have a car for us.
Desventajas: Time for waiting to be attended at the pickup/returns area. The price structure for the insurance where you have to leave 2000 on deposit on the car
Desventajas: The car cost us $50 to rent; the insurance was $430. I think that is a total rip off. They do not tell you insurance is not part of renting the car until you go to pick the car up and then you have to haggle with the guys at the desk for an insurance price. We went to Mexico so I truly feel like I got a terrible rate because they knew we were American.

We spent literally $40 for taxi parking king for the place. We finally we back to hotel zone budget and they manage to help us from that location with all our reservations. Wish we could've done that in the beginning. Wasted 2 hrs of our morning and wasted money on taxi.
